With Spring 22 Salesforce has also launch Migrate to Flow (beta) tool. So we can now migrate our existing workflow to flow. As Salesforce is planning to deprecate Workflow and Process builder in 2023. So its better we start this migration process.
For the migration process we will use the standard tool provided by Salesforce. As this tool is still in beta so it has some limitations. Now when you try to create new workflow, Salesforce ask us if you want to use Workflow or can go ahead with the flow.

So lets start the migrate to flow process.
In Setup search for Migrate to Flow and click on that.

It will open the tool window. This will list all the available workflow and if we have already converted them then the related flow name. Here we have radio button with each workflow means we can only convert one workflow. This also create a new flow for each workflow. So if we planning to merge multiple workflow in a single flow that is not possible using this tool. And that is something we need to handle manually.
This might be a problem for many as best practices its not recommended to have multiple flow of same type on same object. We can use Flow execution number to solve this problem for now. Maybe in future salesforce add this feature too. So just select the workflow you want to migrate and click on Migrate to Flow button.

It will start the process and you will notice a new popup on screen. Once the migrations is completed, it gives us option to review first or enable it directly. So following the simple steps we can easily migrate Workflow to flow.

So which feature you like most from the Spring 22 release. Let me know your experience related to Workflow migration in comments. happy Programming 🙂
Even though they will disable the option to create a new Workflow Rule or Process Builder, you will still be able to use/edit the existing ones.
Yes the old ones will still work.
I can see the advantage in just 1 process as I am sure all of us at one time have thought did I write that as a workflow, a process builder or a Flow
